Out There Exeter – ‘Heartstopper Day’ – 6th October

Intercom is excited to be taking part in ‘Out There Exeter’, a new LGBT+ fringe festival in Exeter, from 20th September-6th October.

We are very happy to be taking part in a ‘Heartstopper Day’ on Sunday 6th October at Exeter Library, celebrating the comic book and Netflix series and uplifting our young LGBT+ people.

Enjoy guest speakers. Unleash your creativity in our comic book and anime creation workshop. Share your story and engage in discussions on themes like sexuality, friendship, love, mental health, bullying. Or simply come and hang with like minded people and to young people in a safe space.

Take part in activities such as:

  • Open Mic Stage: Come and play an instrument, song or perform
  • Anime and Comic Book: Workshop by professionals
  • Gaming Area: Relax and play PlayStation/Switch
  • Breakout Space: A private area for confidential conversations with a young peer
  • Stalls and Refreshments: Enjoy relevant stalls and refreshments in the reception area
  • Themed Book Display: Explore a curated selection of comics and LGBTQIA+ themed books

This event is in partnership with Exeter City of Literature.
