Here are our Family Pride events in February!
Tuesday 6th February – Cornwall Parent Coffee Evening – 6pm
This parent meet-up gives an opportunity for parents to grab a coffee and have a chat with each other, and a member of Intercom Trust staff will be around if there are any particular questions or queries you might have.
Thursday 15th February – Family Pride @ Sunrise Diversity – 11am
Sunrise is a grassroots charity promoting equality, diversity and social inclusion in rural communities in Northern Devon. We will be joining them for fun activities in their office in Barnstaple. February is LGBT+ History Month. We will have activities for everyone to learn more about LGBT+ history both in the UK and around the world.
Friday 16th February – Family Pride @ Royal Cornwall Museum – 12:30pm
Explore the rich history and heritage of Cornwall through the fascinating collections, spanning art, archaeology, and natural history. Entry to Royal Cornwall Museum will be free for families attending with Family Pride.
Saturday 24th February – Family Pride @ The Box – 1pm
Visit the museum, learn about Plymouth LGBT+ history and meet other families. We will have our own room to meet, play board games and chat as well as the opportunity to visit the galleries.
Family Pride Events
Family Pride events are simply about finding each other, having some fun, and boosting parent and child confidence. Parents and carers can have time together. Children and young people can have time together. Or you can just have a cuppa and soak up the atmosphere.
LGBT+ Families
An LGBT+ family may contain one or more parents who identify as LGBT+ and/or one or more children who identify as LGBT+.
