During the past 18 months, Intercom has been supporting LGBT+ families through our Family Pride South West project. We are very of the achievements of our Family Pride Practitioners and the work that they have done.

This work includes:

➡ 61 families accessing our support services
➡ 361 support sessions delivered
➡ 44 LGBT+ Family Days held across Devon and Cornwall
➡ 120 families attending LGBT+ Family Days
➡ 14 online parent sessions provided covering subjects such as mental health and difficult conversations
➡ 22 parents have attended at least one parent session

This has led to increases in wellbeing for clients and parents, and for improved Family relationships:

➡ 78% of parents report improved child wellbeing
➡ 94% of parents report improved wellbeing
➡ 47% of parents report improved family relationships
➡ 67% of parents report feeling more connected to the local community
➡ 100% of parents report feeling more connected to the LGBT+ community

Intercom Trust will still support LGBT+ families going forward. We will continue to provide Family Days in Devon, Plymouth and Cornwall. Our LGBT+ Practitioners will continue supporting LGBT+ people and their families and friends going forward. Our counselling service is also available for those over 18.
