TEIGNMOUTH PRIDE 2024
Friday 13th September to Sunday 15th September
OUR MISSION
Pride looks different around the world, but it shares a purpose – to fight for continued recognition of the basic human rights for all LGBTIQIA+ people everywhere. Pride is about communities coming together in celebration, protest, unity, and solidarity.
Because in every community in the UK, and around the world, LGBTQIA+ people are still being abused, thrown out of their homes, and bullied in schools and workplaces. The institutions that should protect us – our governments, communities, faith institutions and families – too often stand silent, or actively harm us.
We are working towards coming together as a strong welcoming community irrespective of individual differences. Teignmouth Pride operates an inclusive space for our LGBTQIA+ friends and family and the wider community – we do not tolerate transphobia, biphobia, homophobia, intersexism, ableism or racism.
Teignmouth Pride expects everyone to be respectful of each other and will not tolerate any threatening, violent or offensive behaviour against its volunteers, staff, facilitators, creatives, stallholders, security personnel or members of the public.
