QueerOutLoud

Service Description

From Nudge Community Builders:

“QueerOutLoud is the South West’s Queer Creative Network. They host monthly performance nights where poets, musicians, burlesque and more, can share their craft with likeminded people and know that they are safe in talking about their experiences as a queer person.

Along side this, they have recently got a Shed at The Plot (Union Street) where they are selling work by local queer creatives – prints, jewellery, anthologies, zines, albums etc. They will be hosting workshops, art and writing sessions, and the occasional performance night at The Plot, to introduce new people to the arts, and create more safe spaces for queer artists.”

Our group is for queer creatives that are:

  • Looking to meet other queer creatives
  • Wanting to perform or share their work with those that have similar experience
  • Those that want to perform for the first time but are worried about it
  • Those that just want a safe space

Our group is open to queer people of all genders and sexualities. We also do our best to make sure events are accessible to those that are physically disabled, or neurodivergent.
