Anti-Bullying Worker in Cornwall
Intercom is recruiting for a new post of Anti-Bullying Worker, to work with young people, schools and families in Cornwall.
The post will be part of a consortium project called Anti-Bullying in Cornwall, funded under a contract with Cornwall County Council. The other two workers in the team are from Victim Support Cornwall and Young People Cornwall. Intercom has had a splendid positive working relationship with our colleagues in both these agencies for many years.
The post is full-time, 20K p.a. plus 5% pension, based in Intercom's office in Redruth, and will involve:
- providing help and resources around phobic (homophobic and transphobic) bullying in the whole of Cornwall, and
- providing local help and resources around all forms of bullying in Western Cornwall.
See the Job Description (link further down this page) for full details.
The other two team members will provide the same general services in Eastern and Northern Cornwall. The Young People Cornwall team member also provides specialist services for the whole County on racist bullying, and the Victim Support team manager provides specialist services for primary schools across the County.
This is a very exciting project, and it's a first for the Peninsula. We are delighted and enthusiastic about the new prospects.
